  • It’s used in promotions.

Who Can Submit Information

We work closely with partners across the state to keep Points of Interest and event information accurate, inspiring and up to date.

Local tourism organizations are our partners and have access to the Partner Portal. Through this access, they can submit new Points of Interest and events and make updates on behalf of businesses and event planners in their communities.

We encourage business owners and event planners to work with their local tourism organization. Working with your local tourism organization helps ensure your submission aligns with website guidelines, strengthens your listing to better inspire travel, and supports collaboration within the region.

Guidelines At-a-Glance

As Wisconsin’s official state travel website, TravelWisconsin.com plays a unique role in inspiring visitors to explore the state beyond their local communities. Our goal isn’t to list every business or event in Wisconsin. Instead, we highlight attractions, activities, lodging and events that have the power to motivate travelers to visit and stay longer.

Approved listings include:

  • Attractions, events and lodging that bring visitors from at least 50 miles away.
  • Experiences that motivate travelers to spend meaningful time in a destination, whether a day trip or an overnight stay.
  • Unique destinations that showcase what makes Wisconsin an unexpected choice for travel.

Listings that do not meet criteria include:

  • Businesses or events aimed primarily at local residents, regional or national chains, local-only resources or community events lacking broader traveler appeal.

For additional criteria information, please refer to our Points of Interest and Events Guidelines for TravelWisconsin.com

For Local Tourism Organizations

Local tourism organizations may log into the Partner Portal to add new Points of Interest and events or to update existing listings. Please review the guidelines before submitting to confirm eligibility and include all required information.

For Business Owners and Event Planners

Business owners and event planners are encouraged to connect with their local tourism organization when requesting a new Point of Interest or updates to an existing listing. Working with your local tourism organization helps ensure your submission aligns with guidelines and is positioned for success.

If preferred, you may also submit your information directly using the appropriate online form:

For events, please submit at least four weeks before the event date to allow time for review, approval and search engine indexing.

Approval and Rejection Process

Travel Wisconsin reviews all listing submissions prior to their publishing on the live website. Please allow 7 to 10 business days for review and publishing.
